Congratulations Samantha on the many steps forward you have already accomplished! and wishing you great success and more s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g this month! Can’t wait to see what else you accomplish! You can do it! π
ReplyReading your post made me realize how much we take for granted the very tiny stretches we take towards our goals. thank you for reminding me that no action is so small that it cannot get us further ! And it is so much doing it with a team instead of doing it alone!
ReplyI understand how you feel, Samantha! Iβm a little opposite. There are so many other areas in my life where I have had to be out in front. And, when it comes to my business I like to stay behind the scenes. But, I am learning if I donβt move out in front, I will never grow.
ReplyWow, you’ve certainly undertaken many things this summer for which I congratulate you and now you’re also doing #SYC which I too joined.
Can’t say I’ve done as much as you but you reminded me that I need to look at the tinier stretches I made this summer. Wishing you great success
as you move forward. Not sure which team you are on but both teams are doing great.
That’s so awesome all that you’ve stretched yourself to accomplish! I cannot wait to see where this challenge you’re involved in takes you! Every single movement forward is a big deal and it’s good that you recognize that. Thank you for sharing.
ReplySamantha, I’ve loved watching you stretch outside your comfort zone for several years now. Spending time in Michigan with you was inspiring to watch you embrace your dare and manifest its completion! There’s no stopping you now–that comfort zone is permanently stretched and you’re continuously stretching it more. Woo Hoo–Congratulations and can’t wait to see where your continued stretching takes you!
ReplySamantha, I forgot about the Risky Bitches moniker! YES we ARE!! Woot Woot!!
ReplySamantha, Firstly, your graphics are simply gorgeous ! I love the work you do teaching others to create beautiful graphics. I signed up for your Bitesize Basics Course and I can’t wait to learn from you ! I’ve watched you grow right before my eyes and it’s truly wonderful that you are out there sharing your gift and talents with the world.
ReplyCongrats, Samantha. You are really rocking it! The fun thing about stretching your comfort zone is that the more you stretch, the wider your comfort zone gets. So keep up the good work! (And by the way, your site is lovely.)
ReplyKnowing how your work literally sparkles it’s hard to imagine you’ve ever been hiding. π But I know what that can be like. And it’s so exciting to see the stretches and growth from that first PhotoShop Friendly course I took with you, where you expertly showed how to get that cranky beast of a tool to work for anyone. So much stretching and growing is awesome to see!
ReplyYou were talking about me… err, the old me anyway, in the beginning of your post. That hit the nail on the head and described me to a T. I too used to hide in the shadows helping all the cool, fun, savvy, smart, and creative women rock their businesses. I always would say “I don’t want to be in the spotlight, I like being behind the scenes.” Ha, I laugh now because uhm HELLO look at me now, I may like the spotlight a little too much π But enough about me! Sam, I have LOVED watching you step out from behind the shadows and step into the light. You are rockin’ and rollin’ and watching you shine and do all these things that have stretched (and continue to stretch) you, makes me smile π
ReplyYou’ve done a wonderful job!!! Congrats on stretching so far outside your comfort zone – I’m so excited that you are starting to Live sessions and look forward to more cute mug designs!! (I’m obsessed with mugs LOL!)
ReplyYay, you! Yep, that’s been me – want to build my business but don’t want anyone to look at me. lol! Congrats on making it happen. Love what you’ve done this summer!
Reply“Youβd rather be a wallflower than dance. Am I right?”
Yes! That is totally me! Thankful to be stretching and “shining” with you!
ReplyI am blown away by all the ways you’ve stretched since I’ve known you. You prove that we must not think we can ‘peg a person’ and know what they’ll do. We are all growing and changing as time goes by IF we choose to and YOU CHOOSE TO!
I look forward to watching you continue to stretch and grow!!
ReplyYou had a busy and super successful summer. And, this is only the beginning! Congratulations on all your accomplishments this year — and this is only the beginning. Imagine where you’ll be this same time next year! Great things ahead for you!
ReplyCongratulations on your accomplishments this summer. I’m looking forward to stretching with you in the SYC!
ReplyI so agree about there being SO many golden nuggets to glean from the SYC. And we’ve barely begun!
ReplyWow Samantha! I never would have guessed you hadn’t done live FB sessions before. Your Photoshop lives were awesome. Can’t wait to see what you do with your next lives.
ReplyWow! You have achieved so much over the summer, Samantha and you STILL want to stretch yourself. What an inspiration. Delighted to be in the #SYC with you.
ReplyI loved your Photoshop Challenge, and am loving watching your Lives… You make designing for POD look so easy, I can’t wait to try it for myself!
ReplyAn excellent article, Sam, it resonates so much with me, as I have lived in the shadows for way too long. I am finally starting to leave the comfort of the shadowed area and need all the help I can get, so I am also stretching myself.
ReplyWow! Samantha. You’ve accomplished so much. Way to go. I’m excited to see all you do this time around.
Warmly,
Claudette
I had no idea you would have considered you a wallflower! You’ve had an incredible summer – Love how you Stretched yourself – super inspiration to those of us at the “just starting out end” π
ReplyGreat blog about your growth and accomplishments. Keep
it going.
What a powerful post, Samantha! Thank you for voicing the limiting thoughts that bounce around in our heads whenever we want to grow, and thank you for setting a ROCKINβ example for whatβs possible when we stretch out of our comfort zone with the support of an awesome community!
ReplyI especially loved when you pointed out the many different challenges you have completed just this past summer;. It is very important for us to look at those past completed challenges to remind us that though they are out of our comfort zone at the beginning we come out at then end with so much more confidence and knowledge once they have been completed. Kudos on your completion and I know you will nail your next challenge.
ReplyWow Samantha…what an inspiration you are! You have definitely STRETCHED yourself this summer. I have always held myself back because I never feel like I know enough. The perpetual student syndrome and I too hide in the shadows. But after reading your post I’m inspired! I’m going to put myself out there more, just like you have and STRETCH! π
ReplyIβm glad to see you pushing out of your comfort zone and doing Facebook Lives, although having so many people view them must have been a bit intimidating.
ReplyI really do love all of your graphics, and must work more on the ones I design. I don’t have photoshop but I know that I can use other tools and must stretch myself to see how to be more creative one little step at a time. Thanks for your article – I also like the name of your website and your tagline. Encouraged to make more small steps towards my next level of success.
